In film productions, my area is the vehicle department. I mainly drive camera cars as a Precision Driver, but I also find the right vehicles for shoots as a Car Scout and handle the practical details so that everything runs smoothly on set: the cars work, the driving flows and safety stays under control.
I built Finland’s first Camera Crane Car because I wanted to combine my two biggest passions: cars and film.
After the Camera Crane Car, I have built more of these filming vehicles and developed them production by production so they have become better, more functional and more practical.
During this journey, I have been involved in over a hundred different productions: films, TV series, commercials and music videos.

I have also made my own productions. Here is one example: together with Rikhard Vellamo, I made a documentary film about the asphalting of Hyvinkään Vauhtipuisto. In this mini-documentary, Matti Tirronen and Janne Veikkanen explain how the asphalting project was carried out and what significance it has had for the Finnish motorsport world. At the same time, we get to follow Hyvinkää’s first-ever Drift SM round.
I was a guest on Iltalehti’s Autoradio podcast, talking about what it is like to work as a precision driver in the film industry. We discussed what the work actually involves, how driving scenes are filmed and what it is like in practice to combine cars and film. It was a great experience to open up this side of the work to a slightly wider audience.
